SELLING / INDEPENDENT COVERAGE

Sell Domains Newsletter

Clear inventory. Consistent terms. An executable sale.

Selling starts with knowing which names are genuinely available, who may approve a price, and how delivery will happen. This route focuses on responsible listing administration and negotiation rather than promising buyers, guaranteed payouts, or a particular return. Good records cannot create demand, but they can make a real inquiry easier to handle coherently.

Make the asking price defensible

Write a concise use-case thesis and recognize the name’s limitations. Keep completed-sale context distinct from asking prices and estimates. Establish the owner’s approval boundaries before an inquiry arrives so the public offer reflects an actual intention to sell. Decide when the price should be reviewed rather than reacting to each message without a consistent rationale.

Maintain accurate listings

Where parallel distribution is permitted, keep one internal record of approved terms and current status. Verify changes in the relevant systems and define a removal process after sale or withdrawal. Inventory records must follow reality rather than rely on memory. Do not assume an update in one service automatically corrects every unrelated listing.

Negotiate the complete agreement

Discuss fees, included assets, delivery, timing assumptions, and acceptance as well as price. Do not invent competing offers or deadlines. Keep the chosen transaction process intact and independently verify unexpected payment or access instructions. After completion, record realized proceeds and actual costs separately so later reviews do not confuse the headline amount with the full outcome.
